We have chosen sweet heirloom basil seeds for your first at home plant.
Growing instructions, following these instruction should make this small kitchen basil plant not only beautiful but delicious.
Steps for Care and Growth:
Step 1: Add 1/2 Cup of room temperature tap water to the soil in the jar, stir well to create a damp soil slurry.
Step 2: Sprinkle the basil see pack enclosed over the top of the damp soil.
Step 3: Gently press the seeds into the soil with a fork. The seeds should only be pressed into the just beneath the surface.
Step 4: Give it a mist of water over the top of the seeds and soil
Step 5: Cover the jar with plastic wrap and poke 2 small holes.
Step 6: Germinate - this could take 3-5 days, keep in a room with natural light and a temperature of 65-80 degrees.
Step 7: Once you see the plant beginning to sprout, remove the plastic cover and watch your basil grow.
Step 8: Prune regularly; use for cooking and garnishing,
Step 9: Watering is important and we suggest using the clear jar as an advantage to see the dampness of your soil. You can always add and remove water easily. Our recommendation is an every other day watering of about 3 Tbsp.
